You found a rock of dull gray and rough edges
Small and cracked this rock was at the bottom of a moutain
You took it away

Promising this ugly rock it could shine like a gem
Telling it to trust the world

The rock believed you
Putting forth it's effort to glow like a gem
The rock trusted you

Once the rock saw it's self as a shiney new gem
It held pride in it's self and in you
The ugly rock thanked you for turning it into a beautiful gem

Accompanied by the sound of his tortured moans
He is in agony too much to be borne

It started only two years ago. I had just met her. I had left my first real boyfriend. I knew I wasn't into him the way a normal girl should be.
